Artist Spotlight Q&A: ‘ZYIE’
Introducing R&B Recording Artist “ZYIE”.
- What inspires your music?
The life I’ve lived is a crazy one, but its so many stories I want to share with the world. There are people going through what I went or currently going through, and have came to appreciate the good, and bad all together through music. All I want is to carry on a legacy.
2. How did you start your recording career?
While I was in school myself, and my brother’s cousins along with a few friends recorded in the basement we used as a studio. We sat up all night writing, and rehearsing what we dreamed of doing on the big stages.
3. What is your (EP) called? How did you come up with it?
ZYE came along with the change of my name. There was another artist in another country that had a previous name alike so I decided to swiftly change my name, and handle business. ZYE came across the table as a name meaning never leave my side which is how I felt about the music at the time, and I ran with it as the title.
4. What is your genre of music?
I’m an R&B artist, but I love, and respect all genres of music. I hope to one day have a piece of my music in multiple genres as well.

6. How do you describe success?
I describe success as over time not everything is instant, but hard work, dedication, and commitment success is obtainable.
